Our teams wade through complex data to assemble a comprehensive view of what it will take to electrify each of the 129 million households in the U.S. We offer a home-by-home calculation of everything involved in electrification from upfront costs, to projected bill reduction, to improved health outcomes in communities, to nationwide effects on emissions and the grid. Incentives
Our policy and research teams sweat the details of eligibility and how incentives interact, so you don’t have to. Built on proven, comprehensive data. Our Savings Calculator has served hundreds of thousands of people, and is designed to make going electric easy for you and your clients. We offer two ways to access our incentives data: our embedded calculator and our API.
Residential Electrification Model
The Residential Electrification Model (REM) is a powerful machine learning model that helps you create the case for a household to go electric. REM can predict, at an address level, the impacts of various electrification upgrades to a household’s utility bills, energy consumption, and emissions. Quantifying the benefits of going electric is key to Rewiring America’s successful policy initiatives, research projects, and products, and now we want you to benefit from this data too.
Health Impacts
Our research and data science teams use building energy modeling, open-source data on air pollutants, and air quality modeling to calculate the avoided outdoor air pollutant volumes and health benefits for different electrification upgrades. The data includes upgrades for space heating, water heating, and clothes drying, and can be filtered by appliance, housing groups, and housing characteristics.
